The New London Chamber Choir's performance of works by Jonathan Harvey and Kaija Saariaho was one of the highlights of this year's Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival. Men from the choir took part in the BBC Symphony Orchestra's 'Total Immersion' day on Saturday 5 December at the Barbican Concert Hall, shouting and playing handbells as part of George Crumb's Star Child. Future plans include a tour to Macedonia and a project exploring genetic links to musical ability culminating in a performance of a new work by Michael Zev Gordon at the Cheltenham Festival in July 2010.
