Robert Saxton at the Aldeburgh Festival

The Aldeburgh Festival Orchestra will perform Robert's 'The Resurrection of the Soldiers' on 13 June 2017 at the Britten Studio at Snape Maltings. 'The Resurrection of the Soldiers' was commissioned by the Presteigne Festival and the English Symphony Orchestra and premiered at Presteigne in August 2016. The concert also features works by Robert's former student Deborah Pritchard.

Baroque Collective Singers: Summer, Song and Strawberries plus Dido videos

The Baroque Collective Singers present tudor madrigals and French and English partsongs by Hindemith, Jannequin, Britten and Whitacre on Sunday 2 July at St Michael's Church, Lewes. Ed Hughes & Orchestra of Sound and Light: Cuckmere project launch

The Orchestra of Sound and Light has launched its Arts Council funded Cuckmere project with a series of workshops in schools and colleges across East Sussex. Composer Ed Hughes and film maker Cesca Eaton plus the five core musicians of the Orchestra of Sound and Light spent two days working with GCSE students at Hastings Academy. The students edited their own cut of Cesca's stunning film of Cuckmere Haven and wrote and performed new scores to their films. OSL also performed a new 6' score by Ed Hughes to Cesca's Cuckmere footage.

Stephen Upshaw: Harvey's Jublius and Strad magazine article

Stephen performed Jonathan Harvey's Jublius for viola and ensemble with the Riot Ensemble at Blackheath Concert Halls on 3 May 2017. Stephen has written about contemporary viola performance in The Strad magazine here.

Robert Saxton: Night Dance at Union Chapel and Supersonic

Guitarrist Nick Fowler has reworked the dance section of Robert Saxton's 'Night Dance', premiered 30 years ago, to create 'Night Dance Fantasy' for guitar with electronics by Dan Hulme. Premiere at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford on 3 March and at the Union Chapel, Islington, London on Saturday 11 March. 

Clare Hammond: Mozart Piano Concerto with English Symphony Orchestra

Following their hugely successful concert in the autumn, Clare performed Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 20 in D minor K466 with the English String Orchestra at St John Smith Square in London on Tuesday 28 February 2017. 

Ed Hughes: 'The Nose' in York with Clare Hammond

Clare Hammond continues her UK tour of music with film with a performance of Ed Hughes's 'The Nose' in York on Friday 3 February 2017. 

Stephen Upshaw: live on BBC Radio 3 plus Rothko Chapel

Violist Stephen Upshaw broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 with Riot Ensemble from the Southbank Centre. He joined Klangforum Wien as Guest Princpal for G F Haas's opera from 1-3 November and performed Feldman's iconic Rothko Chapel with Lontano and the New London Chamber Choir at the Warehouse, London on 6 November.
